Adefovir Dipivoxil (Generic)
Adefovir Dipivoxil (Generic) is a drug with antiviral activity against HBV. It is used for treating hepatitis B, a sexually transmitted disease accompanied by liver inflammation, in patients starting from 12 years of age. The medication comes in the form of 10 mg tablets for oral administration on a daily basis, without regard to food.
The duration of treatment is determined individually. Discontinuation of treatment with Adefovir Dipivoxil has to be agreed upon with the doctor in order to prevent severe hepatitis worsening. Patients with kidney disease should be cautious when taking the drug.
