Allegra (Generic)

Allegra is a brand name of fexofenadine hydrochloride drug. Generic Allegra is also available. The drug is used for relieving symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and for treating chronic idiopathic urticaria (more exactly, its uncomplicated skin manifestations). Treatment with Allegra is approved for adults and children from 2 years of age in case of allergic rhinitis, and for adults and children from 6 month of age in case of idiopathic urticaria.

The medication comes as film coated tabs, orally disintegrating tabs and oral suspension. It has to be taken once or twice daily, according to the prescription.

Generic Allegra is also available in the market as Fexofenadine, Allegra ODT.
