Copegus (Generic)

Copegus (generic) is an antiviral medication, with broad mechanism of action. It is used to prevent and treat different types of infections. Generic Copegus treats bronchitis, pneumonia, emphysema; cystitis; diseases of bones and joints; skin and soft tissue diseases. It is also active against gram-positive microorganisms (staphylococcus, streptococcus). The half-life is about 2.5 – 3 hours; the drug is excreted mainly through the kidneys. This is one of the most popular types of antiviral medication all over the world.

Generic Copegus is also marketed as Ribavirin and Ribasphere.
