Famtrex
Famtrex or Generic Famvir is an antiviral drug indicated for the treatment of infections caused by CMV, Herpes simplex, Epstein–Barr, and Varicella zoster viruses. Its active ingredient is called Famciclovir that transforms, in vivo, into penciclovir. It is extremely effective in the therapy of such diseases as shingles, cold sores, recurring genital herpes, and postherpetic neuralgia. It is also used to treat these conditions in immunocompromised people.
Famtrex is also marketed under the names: Famicimac, Famvir, Microvir, Penvir.
