Indinavir (Generic)
Generic Indinavir is an oral asynthetic antiviral drug belonging to the group of protease inhibitors that was created by Merck & Co and is used in clinical practice since 1996, in particular, as an active ingredient of the brand medicine Crixivan®. It is one of the most used HIV protease inhibitors that is proven to be effective in the combined treatment of HIV-1 and HIV-2, despite it is not used as a single-substance treatment of these conditions due to the fast development of drug resistance.
Indinavir is also marketed under the names: Crixivan.
