Isoptin (Generic)

Generic Isoptin is a verapamil hydrochloride-based antianginal drug that belongs to the class of calcium channel blockers. Its therapeutic action includes the ability to lower arterial blood pressure, regulate arrhythmia, and produce strong antianginal effect. Thus, it is often prescribed as a single-substance therapy or a part of combined therapy to the patients suffering from arterial hypertension of different severity, angina, and tachycardia.

Isoptin is also marketed under the names: Calan, Verelan, Verapamil, and others.
